DCV Diffusers

ECD / ERD

The Rickard DCV Diffuser is an intelligent diffuser designed to continually regulate airflow based on the level of CO2 in the occupied space. The variable geometry of the diffusers maintains the throw of air entering a space as the ventilation rate is reduced in accordance with demand, which helps maintain ventilation effectiveness inside a room. The diffusers are networked together with the supplied controls system that allows setup and commissioning to be done from one central computer (by others).

Key features

  • Reduces the energy and cost wastage caused by over-ventilation
  • Greatly improves the indoor air quality
  • Easy to install, commission and maintain
  • Flexibly adjustable to changing office layouts
  • Minimises pollutants and CO2 build-up
  • Variable geometry to optimise ventilation effectiveness and prevent draughts

Operation

The diffuser carefully regulates the airflow into each zone, preventing the energy wastage and poor indoor
air quality caused by over and under-ventilation, respectively. When less ventilation is required, the aperture
of the diffusers decreases, creating a build-up of pressure in the system. Detecting this, the DCV control
re-normalises the pressure by reducing the fan speed accordingly.
